I love a challenge, but for the safety of my shop (and my sanity!), there are a few things I simply don't take on. If you have one of these, I recommend looking for a specialized technician or a licensed professional.

  • Modern Printers (Consumer & Pro): I’ve officially retired from the printer wars. I do not repair inkjet, laser, or professional office printers.
    • The Exception: If you have a Vintage Dot Matrix or an early 80s/90s specialty printer, bring it by! I love keeping the classics alive.

  • CRTs & Televisions: I’m strictly a "small screen" and "bench tech" guy. I don't repair CRT monitors, tube TVs, or modern flat-screens. They take up too much room and are better left to dedicated TV shops.

  • Old Tube Technology: While I love vintage tech, I don't work on high-voltage tube radios or amplifiers. That’s a very specific (and spicy!) science that requires different gear than what I keep on the bench.

  • In-Home Services (Networking & Electrical): I fix gadgets, not houses! If your Wi-Fi is dead or your wall outlet is sparking, please call a licensed electrician or a networking pro. I only work on the devices you can bring to me.

  • Major Appliances: If it belongs in your kitchen or laundry room, or requires a special high-voltage plug, (microwaves, blenders, washers/dryers, ovens), I’m going to have to pass.

  • Heavily Liquid-Damaged "Puddle" Tech: If your phone went for a swim in the lake three months ago and hasn't turned on since, the internal corrosion is usually a "lost cause" for a reliable repair.
